Dance Project – Terms & Conditions
1. General Information
1.1 Dance Project (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides dance classes for children aged 4-11, held during and after school hours on school premises.
1.2 By enrolling your child in Dance Project classes, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Enrollment & Fees
2.1 Dance Project provides lessons on a monthly subscription basis, offering a minimum of 33 lessons throughout the academic year for students starting in September, including any performances or concerts. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
2.2 Payments are processed through Stripe, and once the initial invoice is paid, subsequent payments will be automatically deducted on a set date each month, as specified prior to the invoice being sent. Payments will be taken from the account used for the initial transaction.
2.3 Fees are structured in a way that accounts for half terms and end-of-term breaks, ensuring that the monthly cost remains consistent.
2.4 Lesson fees are subject to annual review. If lesson fees are increased following such a review, Dance Project will make every effort to provide students with at least one month's notice of the change. In the event of a fee increase, the student has the right to terminate this agreement immediately by providing written notice to Dance Project, without any further obligation to pay for lessons and with a refund for any lessons already paid in advance.
2.5 Late payments may result in the termination of the agreement, cancellation of lessons, and potential legal proceedings to recover any outstanding debt.
3. Missed Lessons
3.1 Lessons missed by the student must still be paid for, unless otherwise agreed upon with the teacher. If the teacher is unavailable for a scheduled lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled for a later date. If rescheduling is not possible, any fees already paid will either be refunded or applied to a future lesson, unless it is not feasible to complete the 33 lessons before the end of the current academic year for students who started in September.
4. Cooling Off Period
4.1 The Student has the legal right to cancel this agreement under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 within the "cooling-off period" outlined in section 4.2 below. This means that if the Student changes their mind or decides for any other reason that they no longer wish to receive the lessons, they can notify the Teacher of their decision to cancel the agreement and receive a refund for any lessons paid for but not yet received before the cancellation.
4.2 The Student’s cooling-off period begins on the date of this agreement and lasts for 14 days. To cancel the agreement, the Student must inform the Teacher of their decision to cancel.
5. Attendance & Conduct
5.1 Regular attendance is encouraged to ensure steady progress. If a child is absent, missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
5.2 Children are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors and peers. Repeated disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the class without a refund.
6. Safety & Welfare
6.1 Dance Project instructors are fully qualified and hold DBS checks, safeguarding training, and first aid certification.
6.2 Parents/guardians must inform Dance Project of any medical conditions or additional needs that may affect their child's participation.
6.3 Dance Project is not responsible for any injuries sustained during classes, but all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure a safe environment.
7. Collection & Dismissal
7.1 For after-school classes, parents/guardians must collect children promptly at the end of the session.
7.2 If a child is allowed to walk home alone, written consent must be provided in advance.
8. Cancellations & Changes
8.1 Dance Project reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, parents will be notified, and alternative arrangements will be made where possible.
8.2 If a class is canceled by Dance Project, a refund or credit will be offered.
9. Media & Photography
9.1 Dance Project may occasionally take photos/videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your child to be included, please notify us in writing.
10. Contact & Communication
10.1 All communication regarding classes, schedules, and updates will be sent via email or school communication channels.
10.2 It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure their contact details are up to date.
By enrolling your child, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
